End of Term Support
As you prepare to write your final assignments and exams, we would like to remind you that there is a comprehensive suite of academic supports available to you.
All the supports and services listed here are accessible to all Western students, including graduates, undergraduates, international students, students in residence, and students enrolled at the Affiliated University Colleges.
Check out the list below for resources and supports that are available to you.
Academic Supports
Skilled staff are available to help you manage the demands of postsecondary learning and exams. We are here to work with you to identify your strengths and develop new skills and strategies for success.
- Individual appointments

- Drop by the Study Café on Thursday, November 27 from 12:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Weldon Library Community Room for learning and exam strategy support (snacks provided).
- Drop in support at the Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) Centre until December 9.
Expert writing advisors are available to help you write clear and persuasive final essays and assignments.

Supports and services are available to all students with disabilities at Western, in all programs and faculties. Access assistance here.
Health & Wellness
Western Health and Wellness services can be found in Thames Hall. The following services are available:
- Physical Health Appointments
- 1-1 Mental Health Counselling
- Student Support and Case Management
- Wellness and Equity Education
- Student Emergency Response Team (SERT)
Appointments for Western Health and Wellness services are free of charge. Students can book an appointment by calling 519-661-3030 or by visiting Thames Hall rm 2170. Students who are registered with the clinic can book appointments online. Some same- and next-day appointment slots are available.

Exercise can help you feel better, reduce stress, and improve your sleep. As we approach the end of term, we encourage you to take a study break and make time to move your body. Explore the great options offered by Sports & Recreation. Tap into the Rec Centre (WSRC) with your Western ONECard to enjoy the facilities.
- Expanded drop in sports hours including badminton, volleyball, and basketball
- Visit for a quick workout in one of our cardio or weight room fitness spaces
- Open swim available daily throughout the exam period
- Drop in jogging is offered throughout December
- Drop in skating is offered in early December
- Sign up for a game of squash with a friend
- Drop by Art Thrive on December 4, or make Gratitude Cards December 9-12 in the WSRC atrium
- Register for Move Your Mood events, like Glow & Flow Yoga and Glow Volleyball
