Brooke Blackmon, First-year Kinesiology Student

The Western community is mourning the passing of Brooke Blackmon, who passed away from an unexpected brain bleed that occurred on April 3, 2021. Brooke was a first-year student studying in the School of Kinesiology (Faculty of Health Sciences) and living in residence.

Western extends its condolences to Brooke’s family including her parents, Natalie and Evan Blackmon, her brother Josh, and the wider circle of extended family, friends and classmates. Western’s flag will be at half-mast on April 8 to honour her memory and place in Western’s community.
